Our Approach

Valuing the environment

Just as much as designing and making quality furniture, our commitment to sustainability is built-in to every step of our creation process.

Sourcing materials

We use timbers from sustainable suppliers, from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified sources. Our finishes are low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) natural oils.

Waste management

Our waste management plan encompasses every aspect of the making process, from ordering materials, through to the distribution of waste to be used by other makers and local community organisations.

Utilising materials

We order the right quantities required for each job. As timber is a slow growing resource, we always consider the type of timber used for each component of a piece. All offcuts are donated to local community organisations and men's shed programs. Wood chips are given to a Victorian free range chicken farm, who use our clean oak chips as a mulch for their chickens and vegetable garden.
